Data Migration
The Data Migration hub shows the areas of Horizon you can migrate records into, the migrations under way, and where to work on them.
What the hub does
Data Migration brings existing records into Horizon. The hub, under Setup & Configuration in the workspace
navigation (/migration), shows every area at once. Finance has a full migration pipeline today — staged rows,
validation, corrections and sign-off — in the Finance migration workspace.
It comes with Finance: every organization that has Finance gets Data Migration, together with ledger cutover. If an agent does migration work for you, its runs are metered like any other agent run.
What it shows
One card per area. Each card lists the area’s migrations in progress — for finance, one per legal entity, with its source system, status, conversion date and opening-balance date — or says that no migration has started, or how many have completed. An area with no migration workspace yet says so on its card.
The hub itself is read-only. Staging files, validating them, reviewing corrections and applying them happen in the Finance migration workspace, which the Finance card links to; see Ledger cutover.
Start a migration
Open the Finance migration workspace from its card and choose Start a migration. To move your books by hand instead, see Bringing your existing books.
